Privacy Policy
Last updated September 12, 2026
MicroFix Hub ("we," "us") repairs files entirely inside your own browser. This policy explains what that means for your data — starting with the thing most privacy policies can't say: for the actual content of your files, there is nothing to explain, because we never receive it.
What we never collect
Every tool runs as JavaScript inside a sandboxed Web Worker on your own device. When you drop, paste, or type content into a tool, it is read, processed, and turned into a downloadable result entirely on your machine. That content is never sent to our servers, never logged, and never stored — we have no technical way to see it, and no copy of it exists anywhere we control.
What we do collect
- Purchase information. When you buy a 24-hour access pass, our payment processor, Gumroad, shares your email address, approximate location (country), and the sale details with us so we can confirm the purchase and issue your pass. We never see or store your card number — Gumroad handles payment directly.
- Order records. We keep a record of each order (tool purchased, amount, status — completed, refunded, or disputed — and the IP address Gumroad reported for the sale) for fraud prevention, support, and accounting.
- Your access pass and theme preference. Stored in your browser's own local storage, not on our servers. We only see a pass when your browser sends it to us to check whether it's still valid — for example right before a download, or if you use "Restore a pass."
- Plugin error reports. If a tool throws an error while running in your browser, we automatically receive the tool's name and a generic error message — never any file content — so we can notice and fix broken tools.
How we use it
Solely to verify purchases, issue and revoke access passes, handle refund and support requests, detect abuse of the paywall, and keep the tools working. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who we share it with
We rely on a small number of service providers to run MicroFix Hub, each bound to their own privacy commitments:
- Gumroad — payment processing. See Gumroad's own privacy policy for how they handle your payment details.
- Neon — hosts our Postgres database (order and account records).
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and its CDN.
- Google Analytics — where enabled, gives us aggregate usage statistics (which pages are visited, approximate location, device type) using cookies in your browser. It never receives file content, order details, or anything else Gumroad shares with us, and we don't use it for advertising or to build a profile of you individually.
We don't run any advertising trackers, and we don't sell or share your data with data brokers or ad networks.
How long we keep it
Order and audit records are kept as long as reasonably needed for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes, even after a refund. Your locally-stored pass and theme preference stay on your device until it expires or you clear your browser's storage.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the order data we hold under your email address, or ask us to delete it, subject to what we're legally required to retain (for example, financial records). Contact us at support@microfixhub.com.
Children's privacy
MicroFix Hub is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of MicroFix Hub after a change means you accept the updated policy.
